What is Welcome app?
Imagine trying to build a new life in a foreign country—from scratch. Where do you start? Information isn’t easily accessible, you don’t yet speak the language, and you’re not sure how to meet new people. Many newcomers in the Netherlands face this challenge.
Welcome app makes building your new life easier. We do this by making relevant information, activities, services, and local organizations accessible in one place: the Welcome app. This way, Welcome app supports municipalities in effectively carrying out their tasks and provides organizations with a platform to reach newcomers. Our technology promotes integration, participation, self-reliance, and equal access to opportunities.
Who are we looking for?
We want to better understand the impact we are making on the lives of our users: newcomers in the Netherlands. We are also curious about the impact we are having on the various parties we work with: municipalities, businesses, and other (social) organizations.
To achieve this, we conduct surveys. For newcomers, we do this via the app. We reach out to municipalities and organizations through email. We want to streamline and structure this process, and expand the insights we gather. That’s why we’re looking for an impact researcher.
What will you do?
•Set up research. In our Theory of Change, we describe the areas where we want to make an impact.
•Implementation. You will send the surveys to the right recipients.
•Analyze and interpret the results. You will process the input into something presentable and can explain the underlying results.
•Reporting and advising. You will share your research, results, and insights with the team monthly and advise on next steps.
•Develop a plan. You will create a framework for different surveys for different recipients at different times.
What are we looking for?
•You have experience with research, either during your studies or in previous jobs, ideally in both quantitative and qualitative research.
•You are highly analytical, detail-oriented, and data-driven.
•You have strong communication skills.
•You are creative in finding solutions and have a pragmatic approach.
• You work independently. You will report to the Head of Product and build on the work of your predecessors, but you will be the sole impact researcher.
• You are passionate about integration and have an affinity with our field of work.
• You are fluent in Dutch.
• Not required, but a plus: you have a migration background yourself.

• A part-time position for 16 hours a week;
• A salary of €15.00 gross per hour, plus an 8% holiday allowance;
