This was the question that came up more and more often at the municipality of Den Bosch and Welkom in Den Bosch. Because there is a rich network of organizations, initiatives and resident groups. But there is no overview.
Together with the municipality of Den Bosch and Welcome to Den Bosch, we set to work. 🛠️
Not with a new file or paper overview, but with a digital social map that works in practice. Which enables professionals to switch faster to the right contact – leaving more time for their core tasks.
Welcome to Den Bosch is a local movement that wants to actively involve newcomers in the city from day one. They bring people together, build bridges between organizations and ensure that everyone can participate – through meetings, work, volunteer work or initiatives in the neighborhood. 🤝
This approach fits perfectly with what Welcome app wants to achieve: faster integration, more self-direction and a more inclusive society. But we can never do that alone.
Our social map is therefore the result of true co-creation: designing, testing and building together. With short lines of communication, open feedback and a shared goal. 💪
With thanks to our involved partners Khalid Ahdidouch, Leontine Proveniers, Denise Marcelissen and Monique van Dam, the social map is now live and we’re going out into the field to see how the map helps professionals to move faster and collaborate better.
To us, this is not just another feature. It is a tangible example of how collaboration with municipalities and partners is crucial to achieve our mission. We are grateful for the trust, knowledge and commitment of everyone in Den Bosch.
Because #inclusion is something you build together – step by step, project by project.

Could AI really help with integration?
Municipalities are digitizing in abundance. But for whom does it really work?
