A simple meeting. A nice conversation. A feeling of coming home.
In Leiden, together with the municipality of Leiden, we started a campaign that makes exactly that possible. A campaign that invites and ensures that more newcomers and neighbors find each other through Welcome app. Not just digitally, but also in the neighborhood, at the market or at the language café.
Newcomers finding their way in the city. Neighbours who are open to meeting each other. Students, volunteers, neighbours. Thanks to a solid joint approach, Welcome app is now visible in the city: on city signs, in community centers, on socials and in the supermarket. The same invitation everywhere:
💬 “Every friend once started as a stranger. Make the connection through Welcome app”
What makes this collaboration special? 🤝
+ The municipality not only thinks along policy-wise, but actively works with us on an approach that suits the city.
+ We build on existing networks, reaching people where they are – online and offline.
+ The campaign is positive, practical and human. No overload of information, but simply: Where can you find a language café? How do you meet someone for a cup of coffee? What’s on this weekend?
And we weren’t sitting still. The past few weeks we toured Leiden with Welcome app: from community centers to language cafes, from shelters to local organizations. To distribute materials, make contact and involve residents personally in the campaign. Because impact also starts on the street – not just on screens.
📍 The bottom line: Seeing each other. Inviting each other. Empowering each other.
After all, integration does not happen in a policy document – but rather in the city, between people. With Welcome app we bring that together: the human touch and the digital power.
Language coaches, client directors, employers: integration is chain work. The healthcare sector shows how you can connect such a chain digitally.
